Act4quake: 4th May

  • A team of 9 members were sent to Sipadol and Tathali distributed tents, food and basic medicines of which 35 households benefited. Team reported that WASH status was satisfactory and more food supplies is required.
    #Act4quake team of 10 members returned back from Dhuskun sindhupalchowk after distributing rice sacks, tents and blankets of which 150 households were benefited. Team reported that fiskar VDC 6 KM away from Dhuskun was out of reach
  • 6 member team of #act4quake returned back from Sindhuplachowk Batase VDC 4 after distributing tents, foods and blankets. As reported, total of 60 households benefitted accounting for 250 people in total. Situation of sanitation and hygiene is good. However, there is strong possibility of spreading epidemic due to the rotten dead livestocks. Geographically, it is difficult to reach as stated.
  • Act4quake team volunteers arrived distributing the relief support to 3 different VDCs (Mulpani, Mahadevsthal, and Budathaan) of Dhading. As stated, around 60 households got benefitted with the relief support along with 320 local residents. From what the team observed, the situation of water and sanitation is good. However, they are in need of more tents and food for their survival.
  • Distributing relief support to around 200-300 people of Ramche VDC, Sindhupalchowk, our team of 5 members arrived today with their updates. According to them, water available in the village is drinkable leaving the sanitation and hygiene poor. As observed, the needs is insufficient and they require more medical supplies. Despite the severe destruction, people there are positive, helpful, cooperative and friendly.
  • A team of volunteers in joint collaboration with members of Sikh Foundation was sent to Jyamdi VDC of Kavre district with breads, rice sacks and blankets.
  • 40 sacks of rice, 5 sacs of daal and basic medicines was sent to Nayagaun Kavre with local youth and 2 medical doctors.
  • #Act4quake team working on bamboo house project in Sankhu kathmandu continued their work building 3 more houses.
  • After distributing relief support to 61 affected families in Jhor sangla 5 member #Act4quake team returned back. The team reported that the WASH status was good and community are in needs of more tents and food aid.
  • #Act4Quake team distributed breads, rice and water purifier at Piple, Eklikhet, and Sankhu VDC of Kavre District and 20 households were benefited from our support.
